Kennametal Inc. announced today that its President and Chief Executive Officer Carlos M. Cardoso, as well as key members of the senior management team, will discuss the company's strategy and provide an update on its financial outlook at a meeting with the financial community on Wednesday, September 12, in New York. During this meeting, the company will reaffirm its previously stated guidance for fiscal year 2008. The company expects fiscal 2008 earnings per share to be in the range of $5.30 to $5.50, excluding the effect of a non-cash tax charge that will be recorded in the September quarter of fiscal 2008. This charge is estimated to be in the range of $5 million to $6 million, or $0.12 to $0.15 per share, to reflect the impact of a German tax reform bill enacted on July 6, 2007.

The presentation is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time and is expected to end by 11:00 a.m. This meeting event will be broadcast live on the company's website, http://www.kennametal.com/. Once on the homepage, click "Corporate," and then "Investor Relations." The replay of this event will also be available on the company's website through October 10, 2007.
