Composition: A high CBN content, solid PcBN insert having multiple cutting edges.
Application: Applied in roughing to finishing of fully pearlitic gray cast iron, chilled irons, high-chrome alloyed steels, and heavy cuts in hardened steels (>45 HRC). The solid PcBN insert offers better security and shock resistance compared to tipped PcBN inserts, while also enabling deeper depth-of-cut capabilities.
