Composition: A PVD TiN coated high CBN content, solid PcBN insert having multiple cutting edges.
Application: Applied in roughing to finishing of gray and hard cast irons. Also used for finishing chilled cast iron and fully pearlitic cast iron. The solid PcBN insert offers better security and shock resistance compared to tipped PcBN inserts, while also enabling deeper depth-of-cut capabilities.
