Coated carbide grade with a thicker PVD TiAlN coating. KC514M combines high wear resistance with good toughness. Primarily for light to medium machining of cast irons. This grade can be used both wet and dry.
K Cast Iron -
KC907M
Coated carbide grade with CVD TiN/MT TiCN/Al2O3. Very hard substrate provides excellent wear resistance. Primarily for use in light cuts and finishing of cast iron materials
K Cast Iron -
KC914M
Coated carbide grade with CVD TiN/TiCN/Al2O3/ZrCN. Ideal for light to medium cutting of grey cast iron at higher speeds. Performs best machining dry.
K Cast Iron -
KC917M
Coated carbide grade with CVD multi layer coating (TiN/TiCN/Al2O3). KC917M is a wear resitstant grade with balanced toughness for general milling of cast irons at higher speeds. Best results when using coolant, but can also be used dry.

Coated carbide grade with CVD multi layer coating (TiN/TiCN/Al2O3). KC924M has a good toughness for medium to heavy milling of all cast irons. Best results when machining dry, can also be used wet.

KC935M
Coated carbide grade with CVD multi-layer coating (TiN/MT TiCN/Al2O3). KC935M is extremely well
suited for wet or dry general purpose milling. KC935M can be used effectively across a wide range of
materials such as steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron. Performs best dry at surface speeds in
excess of 600 sfm or 180 meters.

Coated carbide grade with CVD multilayer coating (TiN/MT TiCN/Al2O3) and advanced Beyond™ post-coat treatment. KCK15 is a wear-resistant grade with balanced toughness for general milling of cast irons at higher speeds. Best results in dry, but can also be used wet.

A new PVD multilayer AlTiN + AlCrN coated carbide with an excellent combination of wear resistance and coating strength. The KCK20 grade is specifically engineered to maximize coating adhesion and edge strength, making this grade ideal in wet interrupted cutting of gray and ductile irons, and can also be used in dry conditions. It can be used in a wide range of applications, from finishing to roughing, to maximize productivity wherever strength and reliability are needed.

Composition: A multilayered coating with thick MTCVD TiCN-Al2O3-TiOCN layers applied over a carbide substrate specifically engineered for cast irons.
Application: Delivers consistent performance in high-speed machining of grey and ductile irons. The substrate design permits the insert to stay in the cut for a long time at high speeds with minimum deformation. The thick CVD coating and post-coat treatment provide superior wear resistance ensuring long and consistent tool life. Can be applied both in straight and lightly interrupted cuts.K Cast Iron
