      Grades

      • KC8050

composition: A newly developed, advanced cobalt-enriched carbide
grade with a thick alumina coating.
application: A versatile performer on a wide range of workpiece
materials (steels, stainless steels, and cast irons) for roughing through
finishing operations. This highly wear-resistant grade can operate with
or without coolant at high speeds, and has exceptional edge strength
for interrupted cuts. The micro-finished insert edge resists workpiece
build-up and microchipping, and produces excellent surface finishes.
For machining steels and cast irons, your first choices are the -RN and
-MN geometries. For medium machining applications and finishing
cuts, the -MP and -FP geometries with a positive rake are suggested.

      • KC9010
      • KC9025
      • KC9105

composition: An innovative, highly deformation-resistant cobaltenriched
substrate (patent pending) with a new thick multilayer
MTCVD-TiCN-Al2O3-TiCN-TiN coating for maximum wear resistance.
application: KC9105 is the latest addition to the KENNA PERFECT
grades for finishing to medium machining of most steels, ferritic,
martensitic, and PH stainless steels and cast irons The specially
designed substrate provides a remarkable combination of deformation
resistance and insert edge strength. The extra-thick MT-TiCN layer
provides outstanding flank wear resistance, while the thick Al2O3
layer offers excellent crater wear resistance and speed capability.
        A state-of-the-art post-coating treatment results in a smooth insert
surface that reduces microchipping and build-up and improves
        workpiece surface finish.

      • KC9110

Composition: Specially engineered, cobalt-enriched carbide grade with thick K-MTCVD-TiCN coating layer, an Al2O3 layer of controlled grain size, and outer layers of TiCN and TiN for maximum abrasion and wear resistance for high-speed machining.
Application: An excellent finishing to medium machining grade for a variety of workpiece materials including most steels, ferritic and martensitic stainless steels, and cast irons. A balanced combination of deformation resistance and edge toughness. The smooth coating resists built-up edge and microchipping. For rougher cutting, use the KC9125 grade.

      • KC9125

Composition: A tough cobalt-enriched carbide grade with a newly designed multilayer K-MTCVD TiCNAl2O3-TiCN-TiN coating with superior interlayer adhesion.
Application: General-purpose turning grade for most steels and ferritic and martensitic stainless steels. The substrate design ensures adequate deformation resistance along with excellent bulk toughness and insert edge strength. Coating layers offer wear resistance over a wide range of machining conditions and reduce frictional heat, minimise microchipping, and improve workpiece surface finishes. Performs well in moderately heavy roughing to semi-finishing cuts. Use the KC9110 grade for finishing cuts.

      • KC9140

composition. A newly engineered, tough carbide grade with an advance multi-layered TiN-MT-TiCN-Al203-TiN coating.
Application. For heavy roughing applications of alloy steels where insert edge strength is critical. A specially designed coating ensures excellent interlayer adhesion and long tool length.

      • KCM35

Composition: A multilayer TiN-MT-TiCN-Al2O3 CVD coating over a super-tough substrate.
Application: The KCM35 grade is engineered to take on the most brutal cast stainless steel machining applications. The substrate withstands heavy interruptions, while the coating provides the wear resistance needed for long tool life. The polished surface resists edge build-up, even at slow cutting speeds. KCM35 grade is available in insert sizes and geometries appropriate for heavy feeds and large depths of cut.
